Monojit Maskeri is a Research Analyst with IDCs Pricing Evaluation and IT Advisory Tools services. Mr. Maskeri is responsible for gathering and analyzing pricing data for major hardware markets in the domestic and international IT space. In this role, he provides clients with analysis and insight on pricing trends within various IT hardware categories such as PCs, portables and x86 servers.
Mr. Maskeri aids clients in assuring price competitiveness and best-in-class pricing for initial acquisitions and subsequent IT hardware purchases through application of the SmartIndex methodology, which he assists in refining as new technology is introduced. The SmartIndex price assurance methodology is regarded as a routine best-practice for Fortune 1000 corporations and government entities, and drives measurable savings within global sourcing and procurement organizations.
Prior to joining IDC in 2008, Mr. Maskeri worked at Fidelity Investments, with its investment reporting and mutual fund research team.
Mr. Maskeri holds a Masters degree in Finance from Northeastern University's College of Business in Boston, and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
