As a Senior Research Manager at IDC China's Vertical Industry Research & Consulting Group, Frank Fang is responsible for China financial industry market research and consulting, including China Banking IT Solution Forecast and Analysis and China Insurance Industry IT Solution Forecast and Analysis. Frank is also responsible for customized consulting programs in the financial industry research area.

Prior to joining IDC, Frank served as Assistant Chief Editor at China ComputerWorld Magazine, a China ComputerWorld Publishing & Servicing Company publication. With over 20 years of experience in IT related media, Frank is an expert in IT news reporting, especially with regard to the informatization of China's vertical industries. In the past ten years, Frank has organized a number of financial CIO Forums. He possesses a profound understanding of the current state and recent development of the Chinese financial industry.

Frank graduated from Jilin University with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Engineering. He was certified as a senior engineer by the Ministry of Industry & Information Technology of the People's Republic of China in 2001.
