Jeroen Wortel, research and consultancy director for IDC's Benelux region, is based in Amsterdam and is responsible for research and advice focusing on the Dutch and Belgian services industries. He specializes in outsourcing (application, infrastructure, desktop, business process), business consulting, and application life-cycle research, and contributes to the European service by producing quarterly forecasts, market sizing, and top 10 predictions research.

He combines practical experience gained from working with Accenture, Microsoft, and Getronics with technology knowledge and market awareness to offer customers key insight into all types of strategies. Before joining IDC, Wortel worked as an outsourcing lead for Accenture, where he also played an important role as solution architect in shaping future outsourcing deals (offshore/nearshore/onshore). Before that, he was responsible for multiple delivery roles at Getronics PinkRoccade and was program manager for the rollout of complex reservation systems in the hospitality industry.
