Eileen Smith is a program manager for IDC's Global Technology and Industry Research Organization where she manages the Services Vertical Views research. In this position, she studies trends by industry and company size in IT and business services markets, and examines the industry strategies of business and IT services companies that compete in the global services market. In addition to quantitative and qualitative research in industry-specific markets, Ms. Smith contributes to consulting engagements and custom research requests to support IT vendors’ overall market strategies.
Ms. Smith returns to IDC where she worked for four years as a director in the industry research organization and the consulting organization. In these previous roles, she managed the world wide vertical black book, U.S. state spending guide, and the Wallet programs. She also managed large-scale consulting projects to provide strategic and tactical marketing services including market opportunity assessments, competitive analysis, and marketing publications.
Ms. Smith holds a BBA from the University of Notre Dame, and graduated from Northeastern University with an MBA.
