Tae Jin (Joshua) Kim is the research manager of personal media group in IDC Korea. In this position, he is leading the personal media research group which is comprised of personal computing, hardcopy peripherals, and monitor.
He provides market research, analysis, and forecast on the key aspects of personal media research area, with more focusing on personal computing areas such as desktop, portable, personal workstation, thin client and so on. In this position, he provides market size, competitive analysis, vendor strategy, emerging technology, channel structure, vertical market and forecast assumption.
Prior to joining IDC Korea, he was employed at Asiana IDT, the Kumho Asiana group IT service company. His role was to develop company business plan and setup corporate strategy as well as initiate new cash cow business. Prior to joining Asiana IDT, he had led international WiMAX service operator business at interbro. His role was to research potential market, analyze business feasibility, develop business plan, conduct business execution plan, attract investment and fulfill M&A. He was a product manager and sales manager for overseas market at TriGem computer.
He has received a B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering from Inha University.
