Ben Hoffman is a Research Analyst on IDC's mobility team, with a core focus on the role of mobility in both small & medium businesses and large enterprises. In this position, he examines the growth of mobile solutions being offered to SMBs in the United States. In particular, Ben focuses on strategies related to software vendors, mobile operators and device manufacturers, as well as trends around voice and data adoption, mobile application usage and smartphone usage within small businesses. He also focuses on the markets for mobile enterprise applications, mobile security software, mobile device management, and remote access. His research includes market sizing, forecasting, and comprehensive qualitative analysis of various players within the business mobility ecosystem.

Prior to joining IDC, Ben worked as Senior Account Manager for MoFuse, a mobile content management provider based in Rhode Island. He has also worked for Brafton, a content marketing and social media firm based in Boston.

Ben received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Goucher College, where he majored in Economics, and is a lifetime member of Omicron Delta Epsilon. He is based in IDC's Framingham, Massachusetts headquarters.
