Senior Market Analyst, Consulting, IDC Malaysia
Ryan Lai is part of the IDC Malaysia's consulting team responsible for the management and delivery of customized research and consulting engagements with clients. Based in Kuala Lumpur, he has conducted and managed various studies including technology market assessment, economic assessment, market competitive analysis, customer satisfaction, brand perception and other customized research and consulting projects.
Ryan has been with IDC since 2012. He was previously a member of IDC’s Asia/Pacific Client Devices Group involved in building and managing IDC’s successful mobile phones and tablet research tracker programs and producing core market data used across IDC’s research reports and consulting projects.
Prior to joining IDC, Ryan worked as a research executive with Nielsen in Kuala Lumpur. His experience spans across industry groups such as telecommunications, consumer goods, and financial services, wherein he focused on research projects covering opportunity identification, benchmarking, industry analysis and competitive assessment.
Ryan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a major in Marketing from Simon Fraser University.
