As a Market Analyst at IDC New Zealand Shane Minogue is responsible for both quantitative and qualitative research in the telecommunications industry. This includes examining current market conditions, the competitive profile and future outcomes of the industry based on primary and secondary research. Using a variety of tools from survey data, media research, engaging with the client and vendor communities, as well as a wide network of IDC’s industry experts, Shane critically and strategically analyses the continuing advancements within the Telecommunications industry. This includes forecasting data, analysing market events and completing custom research to cater for client specific needs.

Shane previously worked in financial consulting in Ireland, specialising in economic and market dynamics. In 2010 Shane completed a feasibility study with an International Banking Group to examine the potential success of locating a a new financial institution in several African nations and has substantial ability in assessing market conditions and economic uncertainties.

Shane holds a Masters Degree in Economic Research from University College Cork, graduating with a first class honours degree.
