Gaurav Jain is Associate Director at IDC’s India Consumer Mobility / Telecommunications Group. Based in Gurgaon, he is responsible for managing and orchestrating the research programs covering consumer mobility and telecommunication. His areas of research include analyzing operator strategy, market trends and tracking performance of telecoms operators in the region.

Gaurav has more than 8 years of working experience in the mobile and telecommunication industry. Prior to joining IDC, Gaurav held various appointments in Yahoo, Qualcomm & Reliance Communications, where he has worked extensively with wireless ISPs, handset OEMs and telecom service providers. Gaurav’s experience in industry includes technology planning, technology assessment, business development, market/product strategy formulation, system design, optimization, testing, system development, and project management of complex infrastructure implementations.

Gaurav graduated from Aligarh Muslim University with a Bachelor of technology degree. He then earned a Master of Technology in Information Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, followed by a MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
