Deanne Primozic Kasim is Research Director for IDC Health Insights responsible for research on Payer IT Strategies. Deanne’s core research coverage includes; the evolving policy, cost, regulatory, and delivery issues of today’s U.S. health care system, including the effects of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), health insurance exchange practices and payer organization contract terms, patient safety and outcome measurement tools and programs, and the operations of the Medicare and Medicaid programs. In addition to Deanne’s expertise in the health care industry, she also has extensive knowledge on IT applications supporting various health care topics.
Previously, Deanne co-founded and served as a managing partner at Santesys Solutions, a consulting organization that helps private- and public-sector, and non-profit organizations navigate the market, economic, regulatory, and IT waves of change throughout the health care delivery system. Santesy’s clients included: ViPS/GDIT, The Academy for Managed Care Pharmacy, Unisys State Health Care, and the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Prior to Santesys, Deanne was the Director of Marketing at the Academy for Healthcare Management (affiliated with America’s Health Insurance Plans, AHIP), where she also managed the development of the health IT curriculum for the new professional designation program. Before being promoted to Director of Marketing at the Academy for Healthcare Management, Deanne served as Senior Program Manager in the education department at AHIP.
