This IDC study presents IDC's European Services team's Top 10 predictions for 2013, and highlights the major trends that will shape IT and business services demand this year.
"After several years of tight focus on cost cutting, European organizations are supplementing their cost focus with a renewed interest in selective investment in growth-oriented technology projects," said Douglas Hayward, research director, European Services.
"On the one hand, they are simplifying, standardizing, and automating their IT infrastructures to drive cost and agility improvements. On the other hand, they are simultaneously investing in customer-facing applications that drive new revenues and new value for the enterprise. The IT services industry in 2013 will need to respond to both of these different but interlinked trends."
