Abstract

Demand for IT cloud professional services in Western Europe will grow to more than $8 billion in 2016, a CAGR of 30%, with an even faster growth in hosted private cloud services. This study looks at adoption drivers for cloud professional services and user attitudes to cloud provision, and it gives guidance on how to increase market share in professional services.

"European organizations are very interested in cloud, and a lot of funding is directed this way. But designing a cloud strategy, migrating to cloud, and perhaps even building a private cloud requires a lot of competence that enterprises do not have in-house and for which they rely on service providers," said Mette Ahorlu, research director, IDC European Services. "Having a strong portfolio of professional services to help the client with the cloud project and with managing the new IT landscape that will include several types of cloud as well as traditional IT will be key differentiators for winning the cloud deals."
