At a recent event in London, salesforce.com demonstrated that it is capable of attracting European ISV partners and helping them to succeed in taking their solutions to market. It highlighted three partners at this event — Cameleon Software, Cloudsense, and Veeva — all of which have had slightly different routes to being salesforce.com ISVs.
Moreover, AppExchange is becoming an important portal for SFDC's ISV partners in getting visibility for their solutions built on the SFDC platform. Salesforce.com showed that it now offers an "integrated" approach where salesforce.com field sales work closely with the ISVs' sales staff. Although almost all platform vendors have ISV partners in Europe, IDC believes that salesforce.com's approach represents a generally higher level of cooperation between itself and its ISV partners compared with other platform vendors in the market.
