This IDC study forecasts the revenue for the marketing software market for 2015–2019.

"The user and administrator experiences will improve tremendously over the next few years, which will simplify marketing operations. At the same time, the emergence of increasingly advanced and automated analytics and cognitive systems will start to hide much of the complexity inherent in optimizing a system of systems."
