This IDC Survey Spotlight explores data on the topic of using edge infrastructure to support generative AI (GenAI) model training. Plans for using edge environments and the current state of readiness point to additional investment needed in AI workload-optimized infrastructure. Data from two recent IDC surveys is included: IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey and IDC's GenAI ARC Survey.
