Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight provides insight into enterprise storage capacity expansion plans in the next 24 months for flash versus hard disk drives (HDDs) with 21 workloads, including artificial intelligence life cycle, data analytics, structured and unstructured databases, and business applications such as supply chain management, enterprise resource management, and customer relationship management. The document contains results from IDC's Enterprise Infrastructure Pulse Survey, completed in December 2023. IDC surveyed 600 global infrastructure decision-makers and line-of-business executives with knowledge of their organizations' use of computing and storage infrastructure. The survey highlighted in this presentation was dedicated to infrastructure decisions driven by the needs of enterprise workloads.
