IDC Asia/Pacific and FBM Release Finalists Names for the IT Excellence Awards 2012

26 Jun 2012

Singapore, June 26, 2012 – The shortlist of organizations in contention for honors in this year’s edition of the IT Excellence Awards (ITX) is out. After weeks of deliberation, the organizations still in contention for Asia’s leading recognition program–now co-managed by the publisher of MIS Asia Fairfax Business Media Asia (FBM Asia) and analyst firm IDC Asia/Pacific–for the most progressive and successful enterprise users of IT were named today.

During a three-month period earlier this year, senior business and IT executives from organizations hailing from all sectors and industries across Asia were canvassed and called upon to nominate their teams and/or those of their peers for projects they had run through completion in the previous 12-24 months. All the nominations that came in were then evaluated based on a number of key measures including performance in project execution, maintenance and enhancement of business-IT alignment and cost-benefit ratios.

The group of finalists comprises government agencies and leading players in the financial services, manufacturing, fast moving consumer goods and transportation industries.

A panel of independent judges is in the process of determining the winning organizations, which will be named and feted at the upcoming CIO Summit 2012 conference scheduled for August 2 this year.

The panel of judges comprises the following: Associate Professor Daniel Tan, Director, Centre for Educational Development, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; Steve Lee Hee Kwang, CIO and Senior Vice President, Technology, Changi Airport Group; Eric Lauzon, CIO, International Baccalaureate; Alvin Khoo, Regional IT Director, DSM Nutritional Products AP; Sandra Ng, Group Vice President, Practice Group, IDC Asia/Pacific; and, Tim Dillon, Associate Vice President Asia/Pacific End User & Mobility Research, IDC Asia/Pacific.
