Series of complimentary Web conferences will highlight critical IT and business trends in the year ahead
FRAMINGHAM, Mass., October 31, 2012 – International Data Corporation (IDC) today announced a series of complimentary Web conferences to review IDC's Top 10 Predictions for 2013. Beginning November 29, 2012 and continuing through February 2013, thought leaders from IDC and IDC's Insights business units will join forces to highlight the most dynamic issues and trends across industries and technologies. The goal of the Predictions Web conferences is to arm IT executives, across industries, with unparalleled insight into the industry drivers, challenges, and solutions to help IT professionals capitalize on new opportunities and make the most informed, strategic, business decisions in the year ahead.
The series will kick off with the annual Predictions overview presentation, featuring Frank Gens, Senior Vice President & Chief Analyst, and titled Competing on the 3rd Platform - Opportunities at the Intersection of Mobile, Cloud, Social, and Big Data. The IDC Insights Web conference series will continue on Monday, December 3rd at 11:00 am U.S. Eastern time with an IDC Insights cross-industry discussion hosted by Meredith Whalen, Senior Vice President, IDC Insights and Vertical Markets Research. The presentation will feature a panel of research vice presidents from the six industries that comprise IDC Insights. Later that day, IDC analysts will explore high-level issues affecting CIOs and IT executives during a Web conference focused on the CIO Agenda. The IDC Insights Web conferences will continue into January, focusing on specific technology, industry, and line of business related issues covering worldwide and regional markets.
