This IDC study looks at survey data related to the adoption and deployment of Microsoft's Windows 7 product and considers the process and depth with which customers are adopting Windows 7.
"Plans for adoption of Windows 7 are running hotter than previously expected, in part because customers are clearly seeing the context of this launch: A well-tested product that is replacing an aging product that has already lost mainstream support. We believe that widespread customer migration initiatives are on the near horizon, which also open the door for migration and training service opportunities," said Al Gillen, program VP, System Software.
