Company: LARGE MUTUAL FUND COMPANY
Objective: Management Meeting Support - Provide Company Details for Client Meetings
Project: The IDC analyst community provided key questions and concerns for a list of companies that a client was meeting with at a conference. We asked the IDC analysts to focus on areas that may be lesser known by the larger marketplace but are critical, in our view, to the company's performance. The idea of these questions is to move management away from their prepared remarks and toward a more open discussion of company and market fundamentals. The company list included: AMAT, BRCM, CVLT, DELL, MCHP, MXIM, ONNN, PMCS, QCOM, SAP, VMW, STEC, SYNA, RAX, and XLNX.
Company: LARGE GLOBAL HEDGE FUND
Objective: Company SWOT Analysis - To Assist a Client in Launching Coverage in New Sectors
Project: Created Company and sector models including historical market share data and current market projections using IDCs Trackers in Networking, Storage, and Virtualization. Additionally created written company summaries providing IDC's current opinion on the opportunities and challenges for each covered company. Companies included VMW, CTXS, NTAP, EMC, CSCO, JNPR, RVBD and FFIV.
