IDC's Insights Trackers are aimed at bringing quantitative market data to compliment the qualitative research driven by the individual Insights teams within IDC. Currently the focus is on Energy (smart meters and solar) as well as Retail (Point-of-sale). Similar to IDC's traditional IT focused Trackers, the Insights Tracker programs delivery timely, accurate, and detailed quarterly market data with an emphasis on market share, technology distribution, market forecast, and additional relative segments. IDC Tracker data is based upon a proven methodology which combines regional expertise to gather and analyze accurate market data. These Tracker reports are delivered in an interactive format that allows users to easily manipulate the data to facilitate business needs, as well as providing clients access to the analysts who are building the data for inquiry.
