By Q4 2020, IDC continued to witness the acceleration of IT investments by ASEAN organizations in view of the long, hard trudge up what seemingly was a never ending hill. One thing was certain though, and that business HAD to continue, and organizations would need to equip itself with the right tools to begin intelligently charting its path in 2021.

With more than 30% of ASEAN organizations focused on accelerating digital spending and adoption for a “return to growth”, the underpinning theme of this movement has been the intelligent utilization of data across a more modernized infrastructure.

Access to data has become an important theme for ASEAN organizations, and with that the achievement of the coveted “resilient” organization is one that is married closely towards automation, visibility, integration, access and orchestration across Cloud platforms. With global statistics in May suggesting more than 70% of organizations viewing Digital Infrastructure resiliency as a top priority, IDC anticipates that more ASEAN organizations will be revving initiatives around infrastructure, data and more importantly the protection of data as a valuable asset towards business continuity and resiliency.
