Navigating the Crosswinds in a Digital-First World

December 8 2021, 1.00PM - 2.15PM NZDT/ 11.00AM - 12.15PM AEDT

Join us as we unveil IDC's latest top tech and industry predictions for 2022 and beyond, for Australia and New Zealand.

Nothing could have prepared the world for the unprecedented chain of events over the past year.

We prefaced 2020 saying anything is possible, but no one saw this level of hyper volatility completely disrupting business and life as we know it. Our own research confirms that recent events have accelerated global digital transformation by over two years, bringing forth permanent shifts in how we live, work, learn and play. While we used to say "transform or be left behind" in past iterations of our annual predictions event, in our new reality, the call is to be digital-first or risk failure.

While the world is now firmly planted in a digital-first economy, the economic and business outlook for the next 3 years will remain highly fluid because of the pandemic. Disruptive and complex societal, macroeconomic, microeconomic and technology currents are flowing rapidly across one another, creating choppy winds that can make or break an organization’s success.

The world is now firmly anchored in digital-first economy, with 65% of global GDP digitalized by 2022, says IDC
