Why Work Models Require Change​
 
As organizations accelerate and expand digital transformation initiatives, traditional work models aren't nimble enough, adaptive nor scalable. “Digital workers” will make up a growing share of the workforce, enabling human workers to drive new value with skills such as imagination, creativity and empathy gaining prominence. This requires entirely new work environments, organizational structures and metrics for success.

The compelling experience of recent months has highlighted that even a more digitally mature, prepared enterprise can have astonishing impact and risk on business continuity in an unexpected situation. It has become clear that collecting and possessing data and information is not enough anymore. It is also key to access, use and share them anywhere, anytime.

To this end, not only a paradigm shift is needed in terms of the used IT tools, but also a closer cooperation and flexibility between IT and business decision-makers.

In this section, we are looking for the answer to the methods and strategies that IT managers can use to support the effective implementation of mobility and teamwork, so business interests can prevail while maintaining the expected security factors.

We have expected for a long time that there will be greater demand in the labor market of the future for colleagues who are gradually evolving as a result of the digital transformation and will eventually have radically different qualifications and skills, a change that has been further accelerated by the pandemic.

Compared to the qualities that were previously considered important or just expected, completely different aspects come to the fore, but what are the hard and soft skills that define the ideal “digital worker” of the future? Can the education system be expected to transform traditional methods in a short term, or will companies have a role to play in providing the right training and development to suit their individual needs?

What effect will all this have on the existing organizational model and how will it transform the relationship and expectations of employers and employees?

During the discussion, we would like to reveal how today's dominant companies are reacting to this change, and what do they need to pay special attention to, in order to maintain their position in the increasingly fierce competitive situation.
