IDC Government Innovations Conference 2016

Astana, November 1, 2016

Overview

The ICT market in the Republic of Kazakhstan continues to grow, including the development of an information society, rising uptake of cloud technologies, and the transition to the service model of state bodies that will significantly reduce capital expenditures and increase government transparency.

One aspect of digital transformation, arising from the increased uptake of 3rd Platform technologies, is that organizations can make more thorough analyses of the market and adapt more quickly to constantly changing requirements, which can result in a competitive advantage. Providers of cloud services and IT infrastructure outsourcing are the basis for efficiency and transparency in the management of national companies within Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna, which began implementing a digital transformation program in 2014.

As part of the Digital Kazakhstan Strategy, entire sectors of the economy are expected to undergo digital conversion: transport and logistics, health, education, agriculture, and ecommerce. All these projects will be implemented a public-private partnership (PPP) framework.

IDC’s team of industry analysts will meet with government technology leaders and partners from the vendor community to discuss the latest trends and technologies that are impacting the push for digital transformation in government. Conference platforms will also showcase the latest market offerings, highlight available solutions, and address the key obstacles facing public-sector CIOs on the digital transformation journey.
