Through the IDC Excellence Awards 2021, IDC intends to honor those business leaders and projects that have conceptualized and successfully delivered digital transformation initiatives that brought about tangible results for their organizations.
This year, IDC will recognize the excellence of digital visionaries and initiatives across 11 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan for the following categories.

The winners of the IDC Excellence Awards will be announced at the IDC CIO Summit on September 10, 2021.
IDC Digital Leader of the Year
This IDC Award intends to honor the executive in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan who has spearheaded organizational transformation efforts, while providing significant improvements in business outcomes and solving major challenges along the way, in an exemplary manner for this market. Nominations are open for Chief Information Officers, Chief Digital Officers, Chief Transformation Officers, or other senior executives using digital to empower their business.
IDC Digital Project of the Year
This IDC Award intends to honor that initiative in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan which has had a resounding effect on an organization’s value by using digital tools and skills to drive business innovation, recognizing its position as a regional reference. Nominations are open for companies or teams which have achieved organization or department transformation by leveraging digital.
To be eligible for the IDC Digital Leader of the Year, nominees must fulfill the following criteria:
* They must hold the position of CIO or business leader/senior executive within a company based in the above-listed countries and have done so for at least 12 months.
* They must have led, within the last 12 months, the implementation of initiatives, which should be thoroughly described in the nomination form.
*They must have proved outstanding skills and efforts in the following fields: innovation, change management, IT governance, business enablement, and/or cost-efficiency.
To be eligible for the IDC Digital Project of the Year, nominees must fulfil the following criteria:
* Represent a department or team active within a company for at least 12 months prior.
* The department or team must have led or significantly contributed to the implementation of the initiatives described in the nomination form.
* The department or team must have proved outstanding collaboration, innovation, efficiency, resourcefulness, and business understanding.
In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, results, and all other matters relating to the IDC Excellence Awards 2020, the decision of the judges shall be final, and no further correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
At IDC, we pride ourselves on enforcing the very highest level of transparency and impartiality. As such, each nomination will be reviewed and validated using a multi-tiered process. The evaluation of nominations and selection of finalists will be independently undertaken by a multidisciplinary team comprising senior IDC representatives and selected members of the jury outside IDC. All nominations will be treated with the strictest confidence. Upon submission of the nomination, IDC analysts will perform an initial assessment, during which they may call nominees to validate and verify particular details.
