IDC Security Forum Betting on trust in an era of global risks

Digital Event | February 17, 2022

Overview

It is too early to assess the overall impact of the pandemic but one consequence is already clear - accelerated digitization and the associated higher number of sophisticated cyber-attacks. The topic of digital security and resilience has always been a recurring one in businesses, but its importance will only grow in the coming years.

On the corporate side, this trend is reflected in the size of the budgets they are spending on cybersecurity - according to IDC research it will grow by 20% over the next two years. Companies are realizing that the key question with cyber-attacks is not if they will come, but when they will come (and how they will stand up to them).

But higher safety standards also affect the behaviour of customers, who build trust in the brand based on safety, without which no long-term business relationship can work.

Cybersecurity and trustworthiness are not only this year's challenges. How to prepare for them?

Enterprises are challenged to provide secure network access to resources anywhere in the world without adopting complex workarounds or increasing latency as our workforce continues to evolve in a hybrid environment.

Our resources that used to live in data centres now live in the cloud and in SaaS applications. As a result, today’s modern enterprises are having to adapt to a completely new network infrastructure that combines security with flexibility.

Join Richard Archdeacon as he discusses how to resolve our challenges today by establishing a secure and trusted workplace environment anywhere and everywhere your workforce is, using five practical steps.
