Overview

How will the Benelux IT industry transform to innovate and deliver on the growing demands for digital infrastructure, resilient IT, sustainability, and digital leadership? Demands fueled by a turbocharged digital transformation through the past two years of the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2022 IDC predicts more than half the global economy is based on or influenced by digital:

  • By 2023 IDC predicts that 1 in 2 companies will generate more than 40% of their revenues from digital products and services compared to 1 in 3 in 2020.
  • By 2023 IDC predicts that 80% of enterprises use AI-assisted, cloud-linked governance services to manage, optimize, and secure dispersed resources/data, but 70% don’t achieve full value due to IT skills mismatches.
  • By 2023 IDC predicts that 45% of organizations worldwide will consider sustainability considerations to be “very important for their technology buying decisions.

In the four digital mature Benelux markets, businesses, the public sector, and the IT industry create a unique, innovative drive. An innovative drive that enables digital transformation to progress but requires more transformation in the IT industry.

IDC Directions 2022 will deliver insights and guide business leaders and technology vendors on how they can help organizations prioritize product development, introduce new services, and establish new partnerships to boost customers’ digital resiliency, ensuring their success in the next normal. The sessions will help understand the opportunities and obstacles impacting the accelerating shift toward digital resiliency.
