General Information

IDC, Elastic, and AWS invite you to an executive dinner roundtable with a select group of business and technology leaders to discuss how to maximise investments in cloud services and improve resilience with a data-driven approach that uses search, observability and security capabilities.

Ninety percent of European organisations recognise that having a digital-first strategy is now a must-have. They are looking at digital technologies such as cloud and analytics as the primary drivers to deliver business value while overcoming the challenges of a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world. With cloud becoming the de facto engine of digital transformation, adoption has accelerated, especially in mature European economies such as the UK. For example, accelerating the shift to the cloud is cited as the top tech initiative for 2022 by 46% of leaders in IDC's CEO survey.

Cloud strategy is becoming a workload-first strategy, and uncertainty and complexity come with managing complex environments. IDC research shows that roughly half of cloud projects are deemed unsuccessful by organisations.

How to optimise, secure and get maximum value from complex cloud environments is top-of-mind for most cloud users. Savvy organisations are realising the importance of using tools such as search, observability and security to make the most of their cloud investments and to have a data-driven approach to cloud migration and risk assessment in the long term.

Join this IDC Executive Dinner, co-hosted with Elastic and AWS, to discuss with your peers the best practices to maximise the value of cloud, deliver business outcomes and mitigate risks. The discussions will explore the role of search, observability and security services for cloud optimisation, and will be facilitated by Research Director Archana Venkatraman, who will share IDC insights on cloud trends, investment priorities and challenges, and what mature users are doing.

We are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday 17 November!
