IDC and MessageBird Executive Dinner

Differentiate By Delivering Empathetic Personalization At Scale

In Association with

Join IDC and MessageBird's C-Suite Executive Roundtable on December 7th from 6.30pm at the stunning Ochre

In today's competitive business environment, where shoppers have more choices than ever, companies are striving to meet the expectations of increasingly demanding and discerning consumers.

In this context, customer experience is becoming more and more important to inform shoppers' purchasing decisions—according to latest IDC research, 84% of customers see the experience as important as the product or service they are buying—and companies are laser-focused on improving the experience they provide to their customers, as confirmed by IDC research, which reveals that over 80% of enterprises globally report that customer experience programs will be a priority investment over the next two years.

Overview

So far, a majority of enterprises have focused on speed, ease, and convenience in an attempt to offer frictionless experiences. But companies will need to go above and beyond to deliver what IDC describes as an "Empathetic Relationship between Customers and Brands". Enterprises need to put the customers at the center, understand their needs, and deliver empathetic personalization at scale through real-time contextual and seamless engagement. Only by reaching an empathetic relationship with the customer companies can achieve mutual trust and lifetime value with their clients.

Technology is instrumental in enabling enterprises to achieve an empathetic relationship with the customer. IDC predicts that "by 2026, 45% of the Global 2000 will use AI/ML to elevate context and nudge customers into unfamiliar and novel experiences that simultaneously improve sentiment metrics and brand upselling potential." The growth and investment in cutting-edge technologies such as AI will fuel the rise of emotionally intelligent customer engagements.
