This IDC study provides its top 10 predictions for the imaging, printing, and document solutions (IPDS) market for 2016, with analysis that covers up to a three-year time period. The predictions are designed to provide organizational decision makers with a call-to-action plan with respect to their company's IPDS infrastructure.
"While many organizations may not put imaging and printing solutions high on their IT priority list, we find that organizations are gaining substantive benefit from taking steps to better manage this infrastructure. Many of our predictions indicate considerable opportunity for companies that directly target the cost and productivity benefits available in an efficiently managed imaging and printing environment. Imaging, printing, and document solutions play a critical role in an organization's business information processes. As such, it would be wise to pay close attention to ongoing developments in this market in order to leverage the available advantages from doing so," says Keith Kmetz, program vice president of IDC's Imaging, Printing & Document Solutions research group.
