Authors: Shiv Putcha, Nikhil Batra, Hwee Xian Tan, Dustin Kehoe, Ikmal Baharudin
Abstract

This IDC PeerScape provides five recommendations on how businesses can optimize their videoconferencing (VC) system to offer the much-needed agility in enabling smart workplace transformation and allowing business process transformation. This study helps CXOs better understand the importance of VC optimization in an overall organizational perspective. It also helps enterprises evaluate their current VC deployments and strategize for a better future expansion road map.

"With the slowdown of Asia/Pacific trade, as economies adjust to lower global growth, enterprises are seeking for alternatives that can help expand existing VC operation practices with minimal outlay cost. Enterprises also want to optimize their current VC performance to ensure greater return of investment and are eager to understand common practices in VC implementation," says Hwee-Xian Tan, senior market analyst, Asia/Pacific Telecommunications.
