Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan) Manufacturing IT Spending 2015–2019 Forecast Perspective

Authors: Emilie Ditton, S Ramachandran, Yves Wang

Abstract

Technology is becoming ubiquitous in manufacturing enterprises today, from products to processes and services, making IT spending a key parameter to be closely watched. Given the wide variation in the maturity of technology adoption across industries in the region, a detailed review of the IT spending in some specific clusters is necessary. This IDC Manufacturing Insights Perspective provides our analysis of three important dynamics within Asia/Pacific excluding Japan (APEJ) that are impacting manufacturing IT spending. Those are continued growth in China and India and the impact of the automotive shutdown in Australia. This report analyzes country-specific dynamics within manufacturing that are driving IT spending in these three countries.
