Increased demand for customization and personalization has resulted in the growth of technologies such as IoT and 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, which has enabled organizations to cater to the market long-tail. With any new technology, multiple challenges appear for the businesses that they need to address before announcing AM as the future of product manufacturing.
