How Have Asia/Pacific Oil and Gas Operations Progressed With Industry 4.0? — Findings from IDC’s 2020 Asia/Pacific Industry 4.0 Survey
Abstract
This IDC Presentation looks at the progress and priorities of Asia/Pacific oil and gas (O&G) companies within their industrial operational transformations, focusing on Industry 4.0 initiatives. It provides an analysis of the results from IDC Insights’ 2020 Asia/Pacific Industry 4.0 Survey.
"O&G operations in Asia/Pacific are setting their priorities to improve supply chain performance and increase operational resilience and risk management," says Emilie Ditton, associate VP, IDC Energy and Manufacturing Insights. "As the transformation of industrial operations provides increased visibility, intelligence, automation, and control, Industry 4.0 is a critical part of the business transformation of operations, which O&G companies must enable. Progress is being made, but scaling and driving consistency according to an agreed road map are among the most critical drivers of success," she adds.
