By: Louise Francis Country Manager, IDC New Zealand, Chayse Gorton Market Analyst, IT Services
Abstract
This IDC Survey discusses the results of the 2019 New Zealand IT Services Ecosystem Survey. This report is the second of two reports delving deeply into the New Zealand IT Services ecosystem. Part 2 provides an in-depth analysis of the mindshare of IT services providers (ITSPs) in New Zealand and the criteria that businesses use in selecting or evaluating an ITSP. Topics and themes covered in this report include:
- A breakdown of mindshare across multiple IT services that include datacentre services, desktop services, systems and cloud integration, networking services, big data and analytics (BDA) services, cloud computing services, mobility management services, security management services, new technology services, business process services, and custom application development
- A brand funnel across the major ITSPs in New Zealand, showing awareness through usage and primarily providing status and preferred primary provider conversion rates
- Evaluation criteria used to select and evaluate ITSPs in comparison with criteria from 2017, showing the gap between each criterion's stated importance of and the respondents' satisfaction level with their current primary providers to identify potential areas of customer churn and competitive differentiators.
