On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight focuses on real-time monitoring of the subjects using Internet of Things (IoT) gadgets by pharmaceutical firms.

It is based on IDC's Global IoT Decision Maker Survey, which was completed in October 2018. Out of a total of 2,211 enterprise decision makers from Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan), with at least 100 employees, 338 were from healthcare and life sciences organizations.

This Survey Spotlight reveals the present trend on the parameter-specific subject monitoring by life sciences organizations, along with an analysis of different types of enablers, such as ingestibles, smartwatches, and fitness trackers. It concludes with a quick advice to life sciences organizations as they are already on the path to digital transformation, harnessing the power of various technologies, including IoT.
