By: Pushkaraksh ShanbhagSr. Research Manager

On-line Presentation

Abstract

Algorithmic IT operations or artificial intelligence for IT operations (AIOps) refer to the application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data and analytics to address the challenges of modern infrastructure management in an intelligent and highly automated manner. IDC sees infrastructure operations as a continuum with progressively increasing (although not always sequential) complexity, and correspondingly, greater opportunity to leverage AIOps optimally, across the following usage scenarios: visualization and statistical analysis; anomaly detection; root cause analysis (RCA); predictions and trend identification; intelligent alarm management; and automated remediation/outage avoidance. This IDC Survey Spotlight explores the adoption of the aforementioned intelligent operations capabilities among organizations in the region and, by extension, enterprise readiness for large-scale adoption of AIOps in their infrastructure operations.
