Abstract

Google Cloud recently hosted its analyst summit and annual conference, Google Cloud Next ‘19, in San Francisco, United States, where Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google’s cloud business, announced the general availability of Anthos, a managed service for enterprises to modernize their application development environment, often sitting on on-premise or in hybrid cloud, to run on Google Kubernetes Engine. “Anthos is a great product for GCP to gain share in large enterprise accounts,” Jessie Cai Danqing, Senior Research Manager, IDC APEJ, commented. “At the same time, it is important for the Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI product portfolio to become successful and drive demand for storage and compute on the cloud platform.”
