IDC's Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan) AI Adoption Survey 2019 was conducted in 2Q19. The survey reached 710 organizations in 12 locations: Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. In this report, analysts look into the retailers' maturity and adaptability toward working with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to drive business operations and processes across 85 retail organizations within Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) (APEJ). This report answers questions pertaining to retailers' usage and attitude toward AI adoption and implementation, business processes with most AI spends by retailers, drivers and inhibitors to AI adoption and implementation, and complexities of AI technologies, among other focus areas.
