Abstract

This IDC Survey discusses the Australia results of IDC's 2020 Australia and New Zealand IT Services Ecosystem Survey. This report is the second of two reports delving deeply into the Australia IT services ecosystem. Part 2 provides an in-depth analysis of the mindshare of IT SPs in Australia and the criteria that businesses use in selecting or evaluating an IT SP. Topics and themes covered in this report include:

• A breakdown of mindshare across multiple IT services, including datacentre services, workspace services, systems and cloud integration, networking services, analytics services, cloud computing services, mobility management services, security management services, IT service management (ITSM), application modernisation, and agile/DevOps services
• A brand funnel across the major IT SPs in Australia, showing awareness through usage and primarily providing the status and the preferred primary provider conversion rates
• The evaluation criteria used to select and assess IT SPs and the gap between the stated importance of each criterion and the level of satisfaction to the respondents' current primary providers to identify potential areas of customer churn and competitive differentiators
