Abstract

This IDC FutureScape for Future of Operations (FoO) shows the implications for the Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) (APEJ) region. The report shows the relative implication on each of the 10 predictions within IDC FutureScape: Worldwide Future of Operations 2021 Predictions (IDC #US46929820, October 2020).

"The transformation of operations is about the way operations are organised and invested to build capabilities to manage and create value from data," says Emilie Ditton, Associate VP, IDC Energy and Manufacturing Insights. "The development of the digital engineering function to enable centralised monitoring and diagnosis is critical. It will be through building these capabilities supporting the increased maturity of analytics and artificial intelligence that operations will be able to realise the resilient decision making that is required for transformation," adds Ditton.
