Abstract

This IDC Presentation discusses the Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) (APEJ) regionalization of the IDC FutureScape: Worldwide Future Consumer 2022 Predictions (IDC #US48297921, October 2021). Technology is causing massive shifts in the way consumers live their lives. Accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, technology plays a key role in every aspect of consumers' lives nowadays — how they live, work, learn, travel, and play. We believe that these major shifts point to a digital-first future in which digital is the primary means to reach, connect, engage, and sell to consumers across all age demographics. Likewise, organizations must become digital-first and redefine their mission to be more relevant to consumers. The 10 predictions presented here will provide guidance in rethinking about the way organizations approach the consumer and design and sell future products.
