Digital Resiliency: The Role of Data, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for a new form of resiliency incorporating business and IT risk and long-term business implications: digital resiliency. This paper looks at the role of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) in an organization's digital resiliency journey and identifies their focus through the different crisis response phases.
"The COVID-19 crisis has emphasized digitalization's role in resiliency, but it has another important side effect — never before has data and analytical insights based on the data been so critical to enterprise survival," says Dr. Chris Marshall, associate VP at IDC Asia/Pacific.
The role of data, analytics, and AI is central, especially as they underpin the digital platform necessary for organizations to build digital resiliency and make informed decisions in a crisis.
