Abstract

This IDC study presents the top 10 predictions and key drivers for the IT industry for the next five years in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) (APEJ). It highlights the midterm and long-term challenges that enterprise IT teams face as they define, build, and govern the technologies required to thrive in a digital-first world.

"Organizations continue to navigate the disruptions, accelerations, and cross-currents spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic and the changing economic conditions. The one clear development is that we are all now living and working in a digital-first world. The IT and communications industries themselves will be among the most transformed as they adopt as-a-service delivery and operating models, deal with radical alterations in ecosystems/value chains, and recognize that their primary tasks are to help CIOs and their enterprises share, use, govern, and increase the value of data," says Avneesh Saxena, group vice president, APEJ Research.
