The State of Adoption in the Document Services and Solutions Business in Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan): Change Is the New Constant
Abstract
The IDC Survey presents data form IDC's 2021 Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan) PC Printer Survey responses from 1H21. Based on the survey responses, organizations in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) (APEJ) have begun to ease work restrictions by allowing employees to work remotely as the pandemic lockdowns continue to disrupt day-to-day business when comparing responses from 2H20 against those in 1H21. This has ultimately steered businesses toward adopting solutions and services to enable employees to have better access to documents while rethinking the long-term plans on managing physical documents that have been sitting in the storeroom. Although there are businesses at the forefront adopting various workflow solutions to reduce reliance on physical documents, there are still a vast majority that are late in the game without a conclusive plan to move their business processes forward. This study discusses some of the key verticals that are at the forefront of digitalization and what are some of the key elements they are looking at if they were to adopt some level of modernization of business processes.
