Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight provides insight into the connectivity investment trends of transport and logistics organization in the Asia/Pacific region. The document contains data from IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending (FERS) Wave 2 Survey conducted in March 2022. The purpose of the FERS survey series is to explore a range of topics related to IT spending priorities, digital resiliency, and technology/organizational priorities in the next normal. Trends in connectivity technology investment for the rest of 2022 were investigated and provided insights into industry-level trends, which can advise technology buyers from similar industries in determining where peers are spending, as well as guide technology vendors in adoption trends that are addressing current connectivity needs in the transportation and logistics industry in the Asia/Pacific region.

"Accelerated adoption of technologies that enable real-time visibility and decision agility in storing and transporting goods has necessitated the design of robust connectivity architecture and prioritizing investments to support increasing data volumes, network security, and aid cloud integration," says Stephanie Krishnan, associate vice president, manufacturing and energy insights at IDC.
