Abstract

In this IDC Survey, we discuss how hybrid work is no longer debated, yet organizations still want employees in the office to some extent. Nevertheless, the question remains: how can they make this happen? Many organizations are redesigning their offices, thereby improving employees' in-office experience and increasing collaboration and productivity.

This document also provides Asia/Pacific perspectives on organizations' plans for office redesign, specifically:

• What drives the decision to redesign an office?
• What are the challenges in redesigning an office?
• What technology investments are organizations planning to enable smart offices?
• What technologies are organizations prioritizing to improve employee productivity and collaboration in the integrated workplace?

This IDC Survey includes insights from organizations’ IT and business decision makers on office redesign and key technology investments for integrating physical and digital workplaces. The insights are based on IDC’s 2022 Asia/Pacific Future of Workspace Survey and IDC’s 2022 Global Future of Work Survey.
