Abstract

This IDC Survey explores the Asia/Pacific results of the IDC's Worldwide CEO Survey to provide insights into the CEOs' priorities and digital plans for 2022 and beyond. The study's findings are designed to help tech vendors understand how to meet the changing priorities of the CEO and to serve as peer reference research for CEOs in the enterprise. The survey investigates how the current economic environment is affecting CEOs and examines business and board priorities, spending plans, investment focus, skills requirement, the role of tech leadership, and vendor selection. This analysis is based on a subset of Asia/Pacific (including Japan) (APJ) respondents to IDC's Worldwide CEO Survey conducted in December 2021 and January 2022. Respondents included 123 organizations from Asia/Pacific. The survey targets (deputy/business unit) CEOs and managing directors and provides an unprecedented view of CEOs' priorities, strategies, and plans for the postpandemic era.

This document is part 1 of 5 in a series examining CEOs' perspectives on priorities, digital-first strategies, tech spending, leadership, and strategic vendor partners. It focuses on CEOs' expectations in terms of big themes, business priorities, and risks in a digital-first world.
