Abstract

This IDC study provides organizations with insights into the Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) (APEJ) implications for the top 10 predictions and underlying drivers for IT investment in supply chains in 2023 and beyond.

"Supply chains continue to be front and center for Asia/Pacific organizations as they emerge from the pandemic but still facing ongoing challenges such as supply chain disruptions, rising inflation impacting material and labor costs, workforce shortages and skills gaps, and sustainability pressures," said Stephanie Krishnan, associate vice president, Manufacturing, Retail, and Energy Insights at IDC. "Visibility and the ability to gain actionable intelligence are becoming critical in being nimble and agile and determining the most appropriate trade-offs to meet customer requirements as businesses address both resiliency and efficiency. In addition, with the prospect of a recession, organizations are seeking to integrate supply chain sustainability into the business to ensure efficiency gains are made along with the environmental ones, increasing business sustainability as well," she added.
